ABOUT ECOADAPTA
Our history
ECOADAPTA is a non-profit organization with the objective of promoting the advancement of knowledge and the action towards sustainability and increasing resilience to climate change.

ECOADAPTA was established in 2020, by a multidisciplinary team of professionals and researchers with extensive experience in sustainability and climate change.
LENSES​ PROJECT
ECOADAPTA is currently working in the LENSES project, which has the objective of increasing awareness of the interactions among water allocation, ecosystem services, food production and climate adaptation, and of strengthening its resilience in a sustainable and cross-cutting manner.
Funded by the PRIMA program of the European Union.
MAIN GOALS
The main objective of Ecoadapta is to contribute to achieve a more sustainable society: socially fair, economically viable, and that respects environmental cycles and boundaries. Ecoadapta subscribes the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and to contribute to them we seek to:
1. Promote the resilience of society in the face of extreme climate events (such as heat waves, floods, storms and droughts).
2. Stimulate society's awareness and education about climate change and sustainability.
3. Facilitate discussion, transparency and social participation in matters related to the environment and to sustainability.
4. Encourage the conservation and creation of natural areas, particularly in cities.
5. Support the implementation of a green economy through financing and social innovation measures at the local level and taking into account vulnerable populations.
6. Make visible sustainable agro-ecological, local and traditional practices that can be replicable.
7. Promote good governance and management of institutions for environmental purposes.
8. Support sustainability in the management of ecosystems and natural resources.
MISSION
Ecoadapta’s mission is to serve as a driving tool for change towards a society that advances in an economic, social and environmental sustainable way, contributing through programs and projects that involve all people, taking into account both their interests and those of the environment.
